Jacketed Reactors with Lifting Motor

>

These modular batch reactors are designed to be extremely versatile for a wide variety of applications. They are typically equipped with an electric stirrer, an addition funnel, and a vertical condenser for refluxing solvent. Application specific models and customization are available upon request. Please contact our engineering team to get your custom reactor build.

Lifting reactors make working with solids easy and convenient. The lid can be lifted up with the press of a button and the body can be rotated. This allows the operator to easily remove solids or clean the internal vessel.

The single jacket (two layers of glass walls) allows connection to a recirculating heater/chiller for precise temperature control. The double jacket (three layers of glass) takes it a step further and the outside jacket is vacuum insulated which creates an easily visible interior (no ice formation or fog) where materials are reacted, yet can withstand extreme temperatures from -100C to 250°C

Glass reactors are also available in a wide range of sizes, from small benchtop models to large pilot scale models up to 100L.

Recommended operation temperatures:

Single Jacket -20c to 100c (exceeding these temperatures can cause extra work load on your heater/chiller unit due to energy loss from the ambient environment)

Double Jacket -60c to 200c (exceeding these temperatures can cause unsafe stress on your glassware that can lead to damage of equipment

A lifting reactor is an electric reactor that uses motors to lift and tilt the reactor body, allowing for easy cleaning and emptying of solids particles. These electric reactors are usually larger in size which makes it easier for users to reach inside and down to the bottom of the vessel.

Are all lifting reactors electrical?

No, a lifting reactor can be moved with an electric motor or a manual hand crank. The handcranks are best for reactors using flammable solvents.

What kind of reactors come with lifting options?

Most of our larger reactors are capable of being equipped with lifting motors. This must be decided at purchase as reactors cannot be upgraded later due to the different frames.
