Goldleaf Scientific recommends tightening all Standard Pressure Clamps (Non-High Pressure) to finger tight and then use either a screwdriver or wrench to tighten them 2 full turns. It is not recommended to overtighten the clamp and bottom it out as this will cause the gasket to be over-compressed and put too much tension on the clamp threads, which could cause it to fail.
