Glass Pennyhead Stopper

Glass Pennyhead stoppers are commonly used for sealing flasks and vessels. The solid glass construction makes them harder to break and the flat pennyhead top makes removing easy. However the solid glass will heat unevenly when compared to the thinner walls of a glass joint and thus will tend to leak and are not rated for high vacuum operation. For high vacuum use hollow stoppers.
