Glass Filter Reactors by Goldleaf Scientific

3.3 Heavy wall, borosilicate glass filter reactors (Nutsche Filter) with filtration chamber for your choice of filter paper. Multiple sizes and options available.

Our Benchtop Filter Reactor is ideal for both synthesis of crystalline products, filtration, and washing cycles. Fully jacketed design promotes efficient reactions through thermal transfer.

Filtration can be aided by either vacuum or gravity, and the resulting product cake can be dried under vacuum conditions. The easily detachable filtration component simplifies the collection of wet product cake or dried powder, facilitates filter cloth replacement, and streamlines the cleaning process. You can select the filter membrane or cloth that best suits your specific process requirements.

-Single and Double Jacketed options available.

-Single jacket connects to recirculating heater or chiller for temperature control

-Double Jacketed for vacuum insulation preserving heat energy.

-Ptfe seals are chemically inert

-Feeding Funnel for measuring input of solution

-Reflux Condenser connects to chiller to capture any vapors

What is a glass filter reactor?

A glass filter reactor is a system used to filter out particulate after various chemical reactions and processes. It consists of a glass vessel equipped with filtration components, allowing for efficient separation of solids and liquids without the need for a separate filtration unit.

What are glass filter reactors used for?

Glass filter reactors are commonly used to crystalize certain compounds for pharmacuetical and other uses. A lab may use a glass filter reactor to synthesize and crystalize an active ingredient for a drug and use a filter reactor to catch the particles while draining out the excess liquids.

What are the advantages of a glass filter reactor?

The main advantages are users can quickly separate their solids without draining into a second container for further processing. Basically a glass filter reactor can complete two steps in one.

What sizes and are available for your glass filter reactors?

Our glass filter reactors range from small-scale benchtop units (500 mL) to large-scale reactors (100 liters).

What are glass filter reactors made from?

Our reactors are made from high-quality 3.3 borosilicate glass, known for its chemical resistance. The filtration components are made from PTFE ensuring durability and compatibility with most chemicals.

Are glass filter reactors customizable?

Yes, we have an in house glass blowing studio to offer our clients complete customization abilities over their glass filter reactor system. We can change joint sizes, create custom glass pieces, and design new manifolds or connections to better fit your filter reactor in your lab.
